Cyclone Freddy hit Mozambique in February 2023, and a second time in March, leaving homes, schools, crops, and roads damaged, areas flooded, and people displaced. Alexandre, a 14 year old boy who attends English and computer classes at the Educate Mozambique Association, is one of the many affected by the cyclone. His house was damaged and flooded in the storm. Him and his family need a new place to live and we’re helping to rebuild.

Meet Alexander
Alexandre is a 14 year old boy who lives in Mutua. He’s in the 8th grade at Mafambisse Secondary School, and attends English and computer classes at the Educate Mozambique Association. His dream is to be an accountant one day.
Orphaned by his mother, Alexander lives with his father and 5 brothers. They make a living through agriculture and fishing.
Alexander is physically challenged. A medical error while treating malaria 10 years ago has left him struggling to walk. Alexander, and his family will benefit from building a home that is resilient to cyclones and rain.
Our goal is to build a house for Alexandre that’s safe, dry, and resilient to cyclones and rain.

We have funds for Alexander’s house, but there are others like him still in need. Help us raise money to rebuild more homes.
