Cyclone Freddy hit Mozambique in February 2023, and a second time in March, leaving homes, schools, crops, and roads damaged, areas flooded, and people displaced. Teresa, a 17-year-old girl, is one of the many affected by the cyclone. She lives with her mother Rosa who is physically disabled. Their house was damaged by the cyclone. They need a new place to live and we’re helping to rebuild.

Meet Teresa and Rosa
Teresa Horacio is 17 years old, and is in the 11th grade at Mafambisse secondary school. She was orphaned by her father and lives with her mother Rosa Jorge Fernando Dauce who is physically disabled. They make a living on the basis of agriculture. Her dream is to be a doctor one day.
Our goal is to build a house for Teresa that’s safe, dry, and resilient to cyclones and rain.
